Attended by over 100 professionals gathered at Farleigh Dickinson University FDU Vancouver’s Oakridge Park campus on September 26, 2026, for the annual P6 Beyond Potential Professional Summit: Designing Your Future.

The full-day professional-development event brought together Filipino Canadian professionals and practitioners from architecture, engineering, construction, nursing, trades, and other related fields. The summit provided a valuable platform for sharing experiences, discussing career pathways, and building connections across disciplines.

Hosted by FDU Vancouver and collaboration with the Filipino Canadian Construction Society (FCCS), together with the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, MWO Vancouver, the Society of Filipino Engineers in British Columbia, International Nursing Alliance and United Architects of the Philippines–British Columbia Chapter (UAP-BC), was proud to be part of this meaningful gathering and to contribute to the conversation on professional practice and career development in Canada.

We extend our appreciation to Guel Climacosa, Architect AIBC, former Chapter President of UAP-BC and principal of GC Architecture, who represented the architectural profession as one of the resource speakers who shared his professional experience and insights on career pathways, AIBC registration for architects, and professional practice in British Columbia, Canada. His presentation highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, professional development, and understanding the pathways available to internationally trained professionals pursuing their careers in Canada.

The summit explored a range of important topics, including professional credentialing, workplace culture, leadership development, career advancement, and the evolving demands of various industries. Speakers shared practical experiences and strategies for navigating professional challenges and building successful careers in Canada.

Beyond the learning sessions, P6 Beyond Potential created opportunities for participants to reconnect with colleagues, expand their professional networks, and explore possibilities for mentorship and collaboration. The conversations throughout the day demonstrated the value of cross-disciplinary knowledge-sharing and community support.

The summit also highlighted the growing contributions of Filipino professionals to Canada’s construction, architecture, engineering, healthcare, and other professional sectors. Through knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and collaboration, P6 Beyond Potential encouraged professionals to transform their experience and potential into meaningful opportunities for career growth and community impact.
